Lesley Illingworth’s Creativity and Passion

Lesleys long career in embroidery has led to a BA Hons in Hand embroidery for Fashion, Interiors and Textile Art from the Royal school of Needlework and University of the Creative arts  in 2015. She has dedicated her career to refining the art of textile creation, blending innovative techniques with expressive design.

 Her mission is to transform textiles into visual stories that evoke emotion and inspire collectors worldwide. Guided by values of creativity, authenticity, and quality craftsmanship, Lesley’s work reflects a deep respect for textile traditions while pushing artistic boundaries.

Lesley is a Disability Activist and blogger for Disability Arts online.

 She received the Daisy Re Emergence bursary in 2020. Her Story Telling coat was in Tate Modern in a guerilla exhibition in 2016 and in Hastings Museum and Art Gallery in the Hidden Out of sight exhibition in 2013.
